Accessibility
A plan everyone can use.
Moving out is challenge enough. We want meukanto to work well for people who use a screen reader, larger text, Voice Control or any other iPhone accessibility feature.
Features in the app
- Available
- Not applicable
Dark interface
Availablemeukanto is dark by default, with graphite backgrounds (never pure black), which reduces glare and eye strain.
Enough contrast
AvailableThe main text has a contrast of 15.8:1 against the background and the lilac highlights 8.2:1. Everything is above the recommended minimum of 4.5:1.
Not relying on color alone
AvailablePriority and status always appear with a shape and text, besides color: essential, important and can wait.
Large touch targets
AvailableButtons and list items are at least 44 × 44 points, the minimum size recommended by Apple.
Larger text
Support for the iPhone Text Size setting on every screen, without cutting off information.
VoiceOver
Labels for buttons, icons, charts and amounts, so the screen reader announces everything clearly.
Voice Control
Every button with a visible, unique name, so it can be triggered by voice command.
Reduced motion
When the Reduce Motion option is on, animations become simple transitions.
Captions and audio description
Not applicableThe app has no videos or audio. If that changes, they will come with captions.
How we think about the app
Accessibility is also writing and organizing the screens in a way that is easy to understand.
Plain language
Short sentences and no financial jargon. Every number comes with context: “R$ 3,800 to go”, not just “R$ 3,800”.
No rush
No screen has a time limit. You answer the questions at your own pace and can come back whenever you want.
One step at a time
One question per screen at the start and one main action per screen, with large buttons within thumb reach.
Calm, never alarmist
Budget alerts explain what happened and what to do, with no flashing red and no demanding tone.
Our commitment
We review this page with every new version of the app. The items in development are a priority and will be marked here when they are ready.
